Every few years, a groundbreaking idea emerges that changes the landscape of a sport for the better. We at The LineUP are doing that for prospect camps, pioneering a new groundbreaking format that has a real impact on an athlete's future.

The LineUP was born out of necessity during the height of the pandemic. My dad and I owned an international field hockey camp and tour business, but everything was put on hold in 2020 and 2021. During that time, I hosted field hockey online webinars that attracted thousands of weekly viewers (which earned me the 2020 Humanitaruim Award from USA Field Hockey). Athletes were desperate for guidance on college recruiting, but with venues shut down, I couldn’t confidently recommend any 3rd party showcases or recruiting camps. That’s when the idea hit me—what if we created our own prospect camp that offered real value for athletes and college coaches?

Initially, The LineUP was meant to be a one-time, COVID-era solution, but coaches loved the idea, and it took off, sparking a movement that has continued to be perfected and grow.

Innovation is more important than ever in a world where new lacrosse camps, showcases, and businesses appear daily. For camps to stand out, they MUST offer and provide true value, invest in quality, and improve the experience for athletes AND coaches.

This is exactly what The LineUP does—creating efficient, well-organized events that put all the focus on the athlete-coach connection.

So many camps exist just to keep up with the competition or, worse, to make a quick profit. It’s been interesting to see other organizations start to adopt our model. Besides being first, the difference is that we put effort and dedication into the complex backend of this innovative model. My team and I are all athletes ourselves; we don’t do things halfway. We ensure each event is 100% valued by our athletes and the college coaches.

And if “imitation is the sincerest form of flattery,” we are genuinely humbled. Truly.

But here’s the truth: Our "colleagues" may copy the concept, but they can never replicate what makes our program stand apart and matter.

The LineUP’s impact goes far beyond just offering a new format for prospect camps. It’s about raising the standard in this sector of Talent ID programs, ensuring that camps aren’t a money-grab but are an effective, meaningful experience that truly benefits the athletes and coaches.
