Event Details:
-- Please arrive at least 25 minutes prior to your first clinic so we can show you the space, give you your paperwork, you can set up your clinic, grab a snack, coffee, etc.
-- We will print out a few lists for you, including the list of all athletes attending the event (by alphabetical order and also by jersey number). Plus we will print out the list of athletes in each of your clinics. These lists will also be emailed to you in advanced of the event (see timetable above).
-- You can also download these lists in advance on your ipad to easily sort and find on the day. Note that since we are hire DI coaches, we cannot partner with a recruiting software to upload these lists, per compliance.
--On Sunday we will email you a google doc with last minute cancels and notes/changes - please check this before your clinics on Monday as we will update it throughout the day on Monday.
LineUP Set-up & Clinic:
-- Clinics are 55 minutes long.
--Since you will have all different athletes in each of your clinics, you can do the same drills and instructions in each of your clinics!
-- We suggest designing your clinic around 45 minutes of training/drills so that you have time for field clean-up, intros and Q&A.
-- As you are designing your 55 minute clinic, we encourage you to think of it as either a teaser of your own prospect day, or a teaser of what a typically practice is like with your athletes. Make sure to engage all positions, offer instructional feedback for each athlete and don't forget about goalies :)
-- Athletes LOVE it when you introduce yourself, the program and answer questions. We encourage you to invite them on campus or to your on-campus camp/clinic. We encourage you end with your team cheer. We also encourage you to get creative and do something memorable and unique, for example, the Head Coach of Maryland for field hockey has the girls sit in a circle on one knee at the beginning of her clinic, and gives them an inspirational pep-talk to kick off her 55 minute LineUP clinic, it's a great way to set the tone.
--Athlete's LineUP jerseys are reversible.
--During times inbetween your clinics, feel free to hang in the coaches lounge, watch other clinics, eat, etc.
Day-of Clinic Registration:
--All athletes can register for any available clinic day-of with cash.
--They will receive a slip of paper with their Jersey, name, grad year and some other details. Any day-of registration are told to hand this slip to you at the beginning of the clinic. You will hold on to this slip so that you can keep that info.
--At the end of the day when you collect your check from Tori, you will also receive $25 per athlete for day-of registrations.
--When you plan your drills, keep in mind that you may have some day-of registrations (goalies too!)
Schedule:
55: Arrive to your field 5 minutes before the hour for field setup. (We ask all athletes to be off the fields during this time).
00: Clinic start on the hour. Your athletes will be waiting next to your field, when you are ready,
50: Field cleanup and goodbyes.
55: All athletes have to be OFF on the 55 of the hour so that the next coach can set up their field. Make sure your field is 100% cleaned up prior to the 55.
Field Schematics:
-- Clinic fields at this indoor facility are 30x60 yds.
-- Every clinic field has 1 goal and 70+ balls, cones.
We have extra colored pinnies you can use if you need them for any drills. If you have any specialized gear you need to run your clinic, please bring that.
Additional Information:
---Each clinic is capped at 18 field players & 2 GKs. Each game is capped at 9 field players & 2 GKs
--We will hand you your check at the end of your last clinic, this will include travel stipend if you are 200+ miles away.
-- While LineUP staff won't be managing attendance for individual clinics, we encourage you to take a moment at the start of each clinic to record attendance. This will help you identify any athletes who might be missing or any unexpected participants. Your diligence ensures a smooth clinic experience for everyone! Please let our staff know ASAP if someone is in your clinic who did not sign up.
--We encourage you to watch the Rivalry Games if you are not running a session between 9-2 Sunday. Every coach will receive a printed list of the Rosters/teams for the games. If it's easier for you to watch the games from a chair on the field, let our team know and we can place a chair on the field for you!
-- For those hosting morning clinics, it's possible some athletes might not have had the chance to warm up independently. While we do advise them to engage in plyometrics and stretching prior to their initial clinic, we recommend dedicating the first 5 minutes to a lax warm-up for the best experience.
-- Please be mindful that there's typically a small number of no-shows or last-minute cancellations. We recommend not structuring your clinic solely based on the initial count of field players/GKs. Flexibility ensures a seamless clinic experience for all!
-- Ensure your goalies also receive dedicated guidance and valuable feedback during your clinic.
--If you have multiple fully-booked clinics, we highly recommend bringing along an assistant. This doesn't necessarily need to be from your staff; a local athlete or coach you're familiar with will do. If you'd like to compensate them from your LineUP earnings, kindly inform Tori at least three weeks prior. This ensures we can adjust your payment and arrange theirs, as checks are prepared a few weeks ahead of the event. Your assistant is invited to enjoy the staff/coach food lounge.
--Please no coffee on the turf, thank you!
